Recruiting new employees can be done in several different ways, but one of the most effective is to set up a booth at a job fair. These fairs bring many different businesses together in the same place as a way of providing those seeking jobs a one-stop place to get information about many different opportunities. For businesses, it gives you the chance to meet many potential new employees and get word out about your job openings.
There are a number of things you’ll want to have on hand at these job fairs. The first is a list of opening your company has. You may even want to have some applications on hand for qualified individuals. If you aren’t looking to hire for specific positions but simply want to create a pool of potential applicants, it might be helpful to have descriptions of the jobs you most commonly have open.
You’ll also want to have a brochure or other information about your company. You might want to include the phone number of your job hotline if you have one or the web address of your online job board. This way, even if potential employees don’t match up with your open positions, they can keep your company in mind for future opportunities.
